Each one of us, no matter what our marital status has low points in our lives. Some of them we see coming and some of them don’t. Whatever the situation is we know that we have someone who is with us through thick and thin. God is there to help us get through and to help us learn how to be resilient and reliant upon him.
Yes, you still have to process things and go through a process, but it is these trials that makes us stronger, and we are the better for it…
The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. – Job 17:9
While learning resilience we learn to bounce back from adversity. The road is never easy, but we will always end up in the place God wants us to be and more importantly be the person God wants us to be. As long as we remember that He is always with us we will always have the peace we need to get through.
Looking towards God during our times of trouble and/or sorrow shows God that we trust him with our lives. We turn to Him knowing that He will take care of us…
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. – Psalm 18:2
It can be easy to see the difference between those who rely on God and those who rely on themselves to get through an ordeal. Stress and anger are hallmarks of those who try find solace and help in other places. Their resilience is down, and they spend their lives making futile attempts to get back to who and where they were before adversity struck.
God shows us that by resilient and reliant upon Him we learn and grow to become better people who are ably equipped to help those who are in need. Our testimonies will inspire others to become resilient and reliant as well allowing everyone to go onwards and upwards.
